Justin McLean is currently the Music Teacher at E.A. Jones Elementary in Fort Bend ISD.

Previously, he served as the Percussion Director/Assistant Director of Bands at Hightower High School and Lake Olympia Middle School, the Percussion Director/Associate Director of Bands at Heights High School, and the Director of Bands at Hamilton Middle School. During his tenure, he consistently earned superior UIL ratings at both the middle and high school levels, developed outstanding region band students, and established a successful indoor percussion ensemble.

A Texas native raised in Rosenberg, Justin’s love of music began at an early age, deeply influenced by gospel traditions and secular artists within the church community. His passion and drive have fueled his commitment to excellence in both his academic and professional pursuits.

Justin earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Prairie View A&M University in 2011 and has spent over nine years teaching and mentoring young musicians in Houston ISD and Fort Bend ISD. In addition to his work in schools, he is a devoted music director and student minister at his local church and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree through Reformed Theological Seminary.
